This walk is part of Dorking's first Walking Festival, organised by HelloDorking, running from 20-28 September. Mole Valley Ramblers welcomes our own members and any visiting adults who would like to join this 5.5-mile walk, exploring hidden green spaces, alleyways and woodland to the south of the town centre. The walk goes over the Cotmandene and through the Glory Wood with spectacular views across the town. Our destination is a brewery on Punchbowl Lane where drinks and freshly made pizzas can be purchased. We shall return by a different route along the edge of Dorking Golf Club and over Deepdene Terrace, with more magnificent views in all directions. The walk is not ideal for dogs given that much is on pavements and some lane walking. There are some hilly sections, which will be taken at a pace to accommodate all. Please email leader in advance if you would like to join so we have an idea of numbers and can alert the Brewery and Pizza company if you would like to eat there.
Those of you who joined the MVR event in May will be familiar with the great range of beers available at Dropkick Brewery and the delicious wood-fired pizzas that can be bought from its partner business on the same site: 500degreessliced.
The Dorking Halls cafe is open from 10 if you would like to meet inside for a coffee or other refreshments before the walk. https://www.dorkinghalls.co.uk/cafe-bar/
