A lovely walk from an attractive village. Although the walk is only 5.4 miles, it is fairly hilly. We start with a steep one, and then more gentle ups and downs. There are good views and we have our lunch on a ridge. Red kite and buzzards have been seen here and it is often good for butterflies.
I expect the walk to finish about 1.30pm.
There is a small cafe in the village, which now has outdoor seating as well. It serves breakfast from 9am and stays open until 3pm. The Cross Keys pub is now sadly closed. There are no public toilets in the village or en route.
Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
