HOGSMILL RIVER - LAKES & SPRINGS
From Kingston station we walk down to the start of the Hogsmill River. The river winds through Kingston, passing an ancient bridge and a Saxon coronation stone. Beyond Berrylands the path opens up into the scenic Hogsmill Valley meadows. We visit Ewell court with its attractive lakes and, as we near the source in Ewell, enter Bourne Hall park offering beautiful lakes, historic mills, and springs. We finish at Ewell West station at about 4.30pm. Café/picnic lunch.
From my Reccie:
The stop for lunch will be at Berrylands at about 12:00. There is a pub ( The Berrylands Pub) and small cafe both have toilets for customers. There is also seating for picnic nearby. The paths are dry. There was a problem with a fallen tree which I hope has been cleared, but it was just passable.
