After a brief climb out of Hollingbourne, the path remains at a high level for the first few miles, passing close to the villages of Harrietsham and Lenham. We shall stop at Lenham for lunch (bring a packed lunch, pub stop for drinks only). We shall continue along the trackway past a disused chalk quarry. We then carry on to the medieval village of Charing which includes the medieval palace of the Archbishop of Canterbury. We will then proceed on to the pretty town of Wye. Pub at the end.
Travel: Take 8:55 from London Victoria (9:12 Bromley South), arr. Hollingbourne 10:09. Buy return to Wye.
