Overview

Starting from Hoole Church, just off the busy A59, the walk follows the River Douglas with extensive views towards the Ribble Estuary and the Fylde Coast. A newly surfaced path joins the  bank of the river before crossing fields across to Hall Carr Lane. The walk then uses well signed rights of way to cross the disused West Lancashire Railway and returns to the A59 just a short distance from our starting point.
