Overview

After a short loop through Hartmoor Wood, we’ll join the Chiltern Way towards Northend, mostly following paths through a mix of woodland and open fields.  After a section of  minor road we skirt the edge of Turville Park and walk through the interesting settlement of Turville Heath.   From there we climb back up to Ibstone, and back to our cars, or into the The Fox at Ibstone for post-walk refreshments!  This walk is 8.2 miles, with stiles and gates, about 400m of ascent (and descent) at a moderate pace.  There are a few steep sections and slippery, muddy paths so please bring poles if you find them useful. Please bring a packed lunch. There are toilets in The Fox pub (near the starting point) for pub customers,  but none along the walk.

Well controlled dogs only please.
