Looking for fresh air, good company and a rewarding countryside walk? Join us for a beautiful circular route from Ilkley to Addingham and back — perfect for both regular walkers and new members wanting to give the group a try. Pre-booking is not required, you're fine just to turn up. We'll meet outside Ilkley train station where it meets the bus station. We’ll set off from the starting point and make our way through Ilkley town until we join the River Wharfe. From there, we’ll follow the riverside path all the way to Addingham. After reaching Addingham, we’ll loop back through countryside fields on the opposite side of the river until we come to a bridge that takes us back across. Once over the river, we’ll head through Ilkley and finish at Bar T’at for some well-earned post-walk drinks. The paths could be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.
The 10:40 start time has been picked to allow for the train from Leeds that gets in at 10:31. If this train is delayed we'll delay the start of the walk accordingly. There are no toilets at Ilkley train station but there are some public toilets in the town. We won't be stopping for a lunch break, but we will stop for a short snack break about half way round.
We'll meet outside Ilkley train station where it meets the bus station, which is near to Ticket Office Bar.
