Overview

Via Minsted, Minching Lane, Bepton Church, Bepton Down, South Downs Way (briefly), Didling Hill, Didling Church, Elsted Marsh, Fitzhall, and Iping Common. Most of the walk is fairly flat, except for Bepton Down which is up then down. This is an easy but longish climb. The path does slope sideways a bit and the chalk is slippery so walking poles may help. Total climb is about 1050 feet which is less than we often do on Sunday walks, and we will wait at the top (possibly for me). If the weather is kind there will be good views and a lunch stop at the top. After lunch we come back via Elsted Marsh (clue is in the name) and there are plenty of muddy paths but nothing excessive.

Heath, open fields, woods, views, primroses, violets, and a few cowslips.

Meet in the Iping Common car park just south of the A272 on Elsted Road about 150m on the right when coming from the A272. Note: the car park is on the south side of the A272 not the north side as the post code implies. Iping village is north of the A272, the car park is south of it.
