Overview

This is a stunning walk that gives you the opportunity to explore the archaeology peppering the landscape around Ingram. Our route takes us to the famed Brough Law, a fort surrounded by a number of ramparts that commands the narrow entry to the upper Breamish valley.  From here, we walk to Cochrane Pike and continue past the old settlement on Wether Hill to Old Fawdon Hill.  We then drop down to East Hill and follow the River Breamish to the Ingram visitor centre and café on the way back to the start.
