Overview

Join us in this delightful circular walk on the Pennine Way that takes us through beautiful wildflower meadows that hopefully will be in full bloom!

Our route follows the Pennine way to Grassholme reservoir, Birk Hat and Blackton reservoir. We then turn off along by Hurry reservoir to cross Romaldkirk Moor. At Mickleton, we follow the Tees Railway Path and back to Middleton-in-Teesdale.

Please meet at Horsemarket/Chapel Row (near the war memorial and opposite the public toilets) in Middleton-in-Teesdale town centre. Note: Horsemarket car park is short stay only. Please park considerately along the roadside throughout the town. Car sharing is advised (see meeting point in Hexham). Directions: From the A68 southbound, take the B6278 via Edmundbyers and Stanhope towards Barnard Castle. Approximately 7.5 miles after Stanhope, turn right signposted to Middleton-in-Teedale.
