Overview

Ironstone walk around Scunthorpe links many of the town's best parks and green spaces - including Central Park, Greenacre Park, Bottesford Beck, and Ashbyville Local Nature Reserve – with our industrial heritage. An easy flat walk on mostly good paths but in places such as the Beck might be muddy. We start along the ridge way walk to Bottesford Beck. This will be coffee stop. Along to Ashby ville nature reserve overlooked by the steel works. Lunch stop will be at the Beefeater Pub, The Anchor where we can use the garden to eat our sandwiches and they will reserve us a table for anyone wanting a drink. Last section wends its way back to Central Park.
