From Jedburgh we head north along the Jedwater path, then crossing the A68 we turn into woodland on farm tracks. We head along a quiet road before following a track through Lanton woods to find the ruins of Timpendean Tower. Retracing our steps the walk follows a woodland path coming out onto a quiet road with open views south over Jedburgh. Our return to the town is by Jedburgh Castle Jail, downhill to the Square.
