Overview

Part of the NMC Keswick Walking Week. Assemble in front of Booths either to catch the bus to Lodore or to walk to the lake to catch the boat. From Lodore we ascend alongside the falls and follow the beck upstream to Watendlath. Then over the fell to Rosthwaite and follow the river Derwent back to Lodore. We return to Keswick either by bus or boat. Note: the climb from Lodore, whilst not in itself steep, is an uneven narrow switchback path across the side of a steep wooded slope. Dogs on leads welcome. 1400 ft asc. Full Day. Bring lunch. Booking is essential and opens from 28/05/2025. *** NOTE ***This walk involves the use of public transport, details of which were unclear when this entry was created.
