Walkers must book in advance with the walk leader
A pleasant linear walk along the River Leven and the farmland between Renton and Cardross.
From the start we head over to the River Leven and then walk part ways on both sides of the river, muddy in places. Turn left up the ‘Big Glen’ via the Kipperoch road & Whiteleys Burn, also muddy in places, up farm track onto open grass land. Eventually meeting the top of the Kipperoch Rd which meanders down to Cardross turning right for a short walk to the Cardross Inn for refreshments.
Return from Cardross will be either by train or bus.

Terrain: Pleasant river side, mostly dirt path with shallow mud in places, along tarmac road briefly, dry and muddy farm tracks, open grazing with views down the River Clyde. Easy walking, no steep hills to climb, no scrambling required but occasional deft footwork required to avoid cowpats.
