We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We walk through the Nidd Gorge on mostly good paths. There may be some mud, there are a few stiles and there is a steep path down to the riverside and then up to the village of Scotton where we will have lunch. We then return to the river along this path and there is one more climb up steps to join a path leading us to a cycle track into Harrogate.

Catch the 09.10 train to Harrogate which arrives at Knaresborough at 09.36 to commence the walk at 09.45.
Return trains from Harrogate are half hourly. Buy at day return to Harrogate for £7.30.
