The circular route will head over to the Lake before ascending a short but steep section of the Pererindid Melangell Walk. The route will follow field and forest paths plus country lanes around the Cownwy area with some inclines heading back towards the lake and starting point via Campbell’s trail .
The incline sections will be appropriately paced to accommodate walkers' needs and the weather. There will be a small number of stiles. Walking poles are recommended as some sections of the walk are quite wet and muddy.
NOTE: An initial recce was undertaken on Saturday 14 February when key forest paths were closed and will remain closed . Changes have been made to the original planned route to avoid the closed sections with new paths incorporated that the walk leaders have not previously walked.
Walkers should bring food and drink for two breaks on the walk.
