Overview

Meet: in the car park at Westley Heights Country Park, Langdon Hills, Basildon. The entrance is on the B1007 beside a large Miller and Carter restaurant. (The car journey should be less than 50 mins each way for most WER members and the postcode is not given as it has misled.)

The walk is open country, varied terrain, mostly flat, gradual climb back to Westley Heights with views of Canary Wharf and City.

Toilets at car park, lunch stop at Horndon on the Hill (two pubs and a general store), back before 16:00. Bringing own food is recommended.
