Overview

Meet: by the toilets at Fishers Green P&D car park

w3w: fully.grace.when (some people may park in the Hayes Hill Farm car park). Going alongside a flood relief channel, the Holyfield Weir is reached (it’s worth bringing bins). The Old River Lea is crossed to reach the River Lea Navigation. After Cheshunt Lock there may be a chance to see orchids.

After leaving the canal, the walk continues between lakes to reach Walton’s Walk which will return us to the start. There will be no mud or stiles and the walk is flat. With a pace of less than 2mph the walk will finish by 13.30. A short snack stop.
