North and Mid Cheshire Ramblers organises walks using car, coach and public transport. We walk locally and also in North Wales, Peak District and Lakes
We initially walk in a north easterly direction to Clough House and then through Macclesfield Forest to the Forest Chapel. We then head south towards the main climb of the day, Shutlingsloe (elevation 1660 feet). We then walk past the Crag Inn to Oakenclough and the Hanging Gate Inn, returning to the car park on the Gritstone Trail. Expect some rough ground, forest tracks and minor roads. It may be muddy in places. Please be prepared for a brisk pace on this late autumn walk. Assistance dogs only.
