A walk from Largs climbing above the town and providing extensive views of the Firth of Clyde before descending to a local beauty spot and returning to Largs.

A circular walk with good views and mixed terrain.  From the car park, we walk south along Largs promenade before ascending to the Douglas Park viewpoint.  We then follow a moorland path east, climbing 3 small hills – Jock’s Castle, Rigging Hill and Paton’s Hill.  We return to Largs along a moorland track along the north side of Gogo Glen, crossing Greeto Bridge.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain: Steep ascents and descents on rough moorland hill paths on the south side of the glen.  The paths can be boggy in places.  The return leg on the north side of the glen is along a moorland track.

Max height: 391 m
