Overview

The walk starts from Bulls Cross and circles the Slad Valley. It connects four nature reserves: Snows Farm, Swift's Hill, Frith Wood and the Laurie Lee Wood, the last of which was once owned by the author. Along the route there are 11 poetry posts, each featuring one of Laurie Lee's poems, so volunteers are needed for recitals! The route also takes us through the interesting Slad Village. It may be only 6 miles, but its quite challenging in places.
