A varied walk through woodland, open spaces and some small villages. There are two steepish climbs and some fine views on a clear day.
Starting from just outside Odd Down Park and Ride, the walk heads towards Limpley Stoke partly following a dismantled railway . After a lunch break we will walk to the village of Monkton Combe and to Tucking Mill. The walk then leads us to Southstoke, finally returning to Odd Down.
Please bring food and drink for our breaks en route.
The Bath Half Marathon is also taking place on Sunday 15 October. Consequently, there will be a number of road closures and diversions in the centre of Bath. It is recommended to avoid Bath city centre when travelling to Odd Down.
It is suggested that you travel (from the north) using the A4 Keynsham by-pass then going through Saltford. At the Globe roundabout, take Pennyquick and follow this road until it meets the A367. Turn right onto the A367 then on to Odd Down.
Traffic could be heavier than normal so please allow extra time for your journey to Odd Down
