Overview

10 am start from Lindow Common CP . (This is a completely different walk from the one on 4 Jan.) Approx 8 miles. A mixture of tracks, some pavements and field walking. There will be mud unless crisp underfoot. Poles are recommended. The route heads first across Altrincham Road and a gradual walk through the woods into the Carrs by the Bollin. There are loos (paying, maybe need a card) by the children's playground. Then we go under the A538 and cut through to the Hough near Alderley Edge and from there across fields towards Harden Park, across the Alderley bypass, Alderley Golf Club, then onto Brook Lane and Knutsford Road to reach bridleways which will take us back to the CP. Please bring a packed lunch.
