The walk starts with a 45 minutes stroll along the Rochdale Canal where we will reach the second highest point on any canal in the UK, at Summit. We then climb steadily with good views of Chelburn Reservoir and the surrounding area, before climbing Castle Clough to reach the Old Blackstone Edge Road. We then make our way around Stormer Hill and pass through the golf course to reach Hollingworth Lake, where there are toilets and a cafe for a short stop. It's then a simple wander through the nature reserve and back to Littleborough.

Some paths are wet and muddy and boots are a must.
