We are the Taff Ely Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From the parking area the route enters the Llanover Estate and exits via the avenue of Sweet Chestnut trees. Thereafter the route follows tracks, fields and woodland gradually climbing to the Goose and Cuckoo. We will stop for lunch at the Goose and Cuckoo then return via Yew Tree Farm briefly skirting Coed y Pryor to the start.
Some of the walk enters woodland with a moderately steep descent to a stream so I recommend the use of walking poles if you have them. There are refreshmnts available at the Goose and Cuckoo. Due to a few ascents I use the Ramblers grade of Strenuous but the Taff Ely Ramblers grade of Moderate+ I think is a better description.
