Just after we start we climb a set of steps and take the bridge over the bye pass road. Walk up the through part of Efail Isaf before turn down over a field and then take the route of the former railway line. We then cross the main road to the entrance of a housing site.
Turning we take a path to drop down to a lower lever and cross over a stream via a bridge and make our way across open fields adjacent to the bye pass road. There is a worn path to follow over the fields and we are now walking in the direction of Tonteg. Eventually we reach a bridge that will take us back over the bye pass road. From there we turn left and take the tarmac community footpath and cycle way back to start
There are two stiles, one to get on to the old railway line the other between fields which needs attention.
