Overview

Go south to enter Burnt Wood Nature Reserve to join a track south and then west into Hales.  Turning north on Flash lane we pass through Blore and take field paths to the A53 road;.  Cross the road (care needed) we continue north into Mucklestone; turning right onto Rock Lane brings us back into Loggerheads.

This was a battle in the war of the Roses and was fought between the Lancastrian forces led by Lord Audley and Lord Dudley with about 10,000 men, and the Yorkist forces led by the Earl of Salisbury
