Overview

Urban with green space.

The walk starts at the Scarborough Taps, which is where the Take A Hike monthly pub meet takes place.

We head through the Dark Arches to the canal.  As we walk along the canal path we have views of some of the distinctive buildings on the Leeds skyline.  We head past the Italianate Towers of Globe Works and along Marshall Street to see the Egyptian architecture of Temple Works.

From Holbeck we walk via streets and parks to Beeston.  We walk through Cross Flats Park, then follow streets to Middleton Park.  We walk uphill through woodland to the pond at the visitor centre, then downhill through woodland to the railway.  We walk through streets to Stourton Park & Ride, then to the canal, which we follow back to Leeds.
