A short circular walk familiar to many of you ... but THIS time we'll be counting pheasants and admiring autumn colour (the trees are looking pretty good at moment).
Setting off from the Fleur De Lys in Lowsonford, we head north on tracks and fields past Bush Wood, then double back to head south and rejoin the HofE way for a short spell. Then past Preston Bagot Church, over Preston Fields, then through the not TOO marshy and brambly bits (recently path cleared by our very own Les and team) to Aquaeduct Lock. Then its back on the canal path to Lowsonford.
There are several stiles, some rather dilapidated, a couple of inclines, and it can get a bit damp around Aquaeduct lock...AND it will probably rain, so do come with waterproofs and its time to put any summer walking sandals away.
There is one field with cows (they ignored me completely on recce - would be far too much trouble to walk up the hill to see ramblers) and several with sheep.
Not much mud on the recce - but, it may be muddy by Tuesday.
