Overview

Starting at Lydstep point National Trust free car park we head inland to explore country lanes, green lanes, paths across agricultural land to St Florence and onwards to Penally. We cross the A4139 twice and the railway line once. After passing the Penally First World War training trenches we use the coast path back to Lydstep Haven. Around Proud Giltar the coast path is narrow, rocky and slippery when wet but passable with care. The route has a number of styles in various states of repair and disrepair, also one large fallen tree. Expect to encounter soft ground which at this time of year means mud.
