Overview

A circular walk from Mad Bess Woods exploring woodland and countryside between Ruislip, Northwood, Rickmansworth and Harefield.

There will be a coffee break at Batchworth Heath, near Ye Olde Green Man pub (opens 12:00 pm).  We head across Moor Park Golf Course, admiring the palladian mansion then down the hill past Rickmansworth Golf Course to the Aquadrome.

After a lunch break at the Aquadrome, we will walk along the Grand Union Canal to Black Jack's lock, where we will climb up to Harefield.  We will make our way to St Mary's Church where 100 Anzac WW1 war graves can be seen, before heading across country to return to our start point.
