Overview

This is a short urban walk, the main point of interest being the flower plantings in the Manor Lodge area, which are currently at their beautiful best.

Catch the no. 120 bus at 10:10 from Sheffield Interchange, Stand A5. The walk starts from City Road Cemetery gates at 10:20.

We'll walk from the General Cemetery to the city centre, via Manor Lodge, Manor Fields, Jervis Lum and Clay Wood. We'll also pass through two small parks: Seaton Fields and Castle View Park. The walk is all on hard surfaced paths, with some road walking; there are several break-off points if wished. Total ascent is 404 feet; there is a short uphill section coming out of Norfolk Park towards the end. We finish in town (at the rail station), so no problems with buses at the end!

WCs at Manor Lodge Discovery Centre and Norfolk Park.

Please contact the leader (by text) in advance if you have not walked with the group before. No dogs please.
