Overview

WWR Challenge Walks Higher, Longer, Faster

A tough walk in dramatic surroundings, with lots of up and down.  From the car park we climb very steeply up a difficult path and walk along Burrington Combe.  We then head South and take in Beacon Batch before walking on the SE side of Cheddar Gorge (delightful and dramatic) and descending Jacob’s Ladder.  Maybe time for a coffee in Cheddar before a steep climb out of the gorge on the NW side and over to Rowberrow Warren.  We pick up the Limestone Link and traverse Dolebury Warren and an Iron Age Fort.  We drop down again to the cars at the Rock of Ages.  Bring plenty of provisions and water.
