Starting from Farleigh Green we head across fields and downhill on the road to West Farleigh. Then across fields and part of the Tutsham Estate to cross the River Medway at Teston Bridge. We follow the towpath past Barming Bridge and then cross back at East Farleigh Bridge. After a short steep road climb through the village of East Farleigh, we pause at the churchyard to view the Wilberforce family graves. The final section passes through farmland, apple and pear orchards and a small woodland, with lovely views over the Medway Valley and vineyards.
If we're lucky we may spot a kingfisher and other bird life by the banks of the River Medway.
No stiles.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the walk to register and hear the walk briefing.
