Overview

A circular rural walk through some beautiful Kent countryside and woodland areas.  The walk starts at the Oldbury Hill Iron Age fort site and continues towards Ightham Mote.  There are good views from the high point at Raspit Hill.

Nibble break (bring your own refreshments) and toilets at halfway point at Ightham Mote, with a second break at St Lawrence Church near Stone Street.  No stiles.  Some steep ascents and descents, walking poles would be useful.  Crossing busy A25 road twice.  Some walking along quiet lanes.

Oldbury Hill NT car park (free), Styants Bottom Road. This is off the A25 between Borough Green and Sevenoaks. If the car park is full, use the layby by the old Crown Point Inn (now Amherst Inn), but the walk will start from the Oldbury Hill car park.
