Overview

A popular walk through the Kilsyth hills to the second highest point in the Campsie Fells using the approach from Queenzieburn  rather than from Todholes carpark.

We walk on minor access roads , farm tracks, open moorland and past the scenic Birkenburn resevoir to the summit of Meikle Bin itself.

Some great views of the reservoir and the hills from the summit .

We return by the same route.

Can be wet and boggy in places, gaiters recommended and poles if used may be useful on the short but steep ascent.
