Overview

A gentle stroll along the byways of Melbourn, including the not-so-new development on New Road, also not so new, through the cemetery stopping to admire the Saxon “re-burial” on the mound and along the 200-yard stretch of public footpath typical of all Melbourn’s public footpaths, none of which connect with any of the others, then return down Water Lane to the pub.

The Black Horse, Orchard Rd, Melbourn - I haven’t asked permission to park in the pub’s carpark as it’s very small. Please park considerately along Orchard Rd, taking care not to park opposite any parked cars as the road is quite narrow.
