This is a circular walk from Rushden to Roe Green in Sandon. The way out takes in Bachelor's Wood and Friar's Wood and the return goes past Redhill and Shaw's Green
While the flowering time cannot be taken for granted this walk has a good chance of catching the bluebells and wild garlic in bloom.
Sturdy walking boots are recommended. If the winter mud has dried out the ground underfoot can be heavily rutted in places.
Park at Mill End Plants in Rushden. Use the bottom corner of the car park and double park to allow plenty of space for customers. You will need to buy something after the walk (the cakes are popular) or alternatively park at the church and walk down.
