Overview

River Sence, Ashby Canal, Bilstone Mill. Easy going

The present building of Bilstone Mill dates from 18th century with
attached buildings probably 19th century, it was still working in the 1950s.

The wheel and machinery have now gone. The wheel was of
breast-shot type and 14-15 feet in diameter. It drove two pairs of
millstones.
