We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. We offer a programme of 3 walks each week, from 5 miles to 10 plus.

Leisurely walk starting from the picturesque Village of Kings Newton. We will walk through the village and catch the cloud trail for about a Mile and then walk along the Trent and Mersey canal to Weston On Trent. We will be having a short break at Weston Trent lock for about 15 mins. We will carry on the walk after the break and walk into Weston on Trent Village, walk around coopers arms, through the field, cross the road taking the track down past the Ukrainian centre, this will lead us back to the canal, where will take the journey back to the start.
Please note. We will not be parking at The Hardinge Arms this time. I approached them but unfortunately there car park is small and I am unsure how many people will turn up for my walk. This is not an easy decision to make, but they are running a business and need the Parking spaces for customers who are going for lunch.
The resolution they came up with is that we park on the main road opposite the pub. Please park considerately and car share if possible.
The pub does not open until 12 noon, So make sure you go to the toilet before you come.
We will be having a debrief after the walk at the Hardinge Arms
