Overview

Join Julian on his walk around the villages of Snarestone, Swepstone, Shackerstone and Newton Burgoland. From the Globe in Snarestone the walk goes through Crop Fields, Greenfields Farm and Wynns Wood to Swepstone and onto Newton Burgoland. Lunch will be taken at the Tea Rooms at Shackerstone station before heading back to Snarestone via the canal.

Not really suitable for dogs due to the livestock on route and the number of stiles

The walk goes through farmland, woodland and along the canal to get a great variety of landscapes. Livestock may be encountered but this will be decided on the day as to whether to avoid. Cows and calves currently in the fields. Lunch will be taken at the Heritage Railway at Shackerstone and de-brief at the Globe on return.
