Overview

This is a moderate (B) walk. We begin with a walk along the beach at Maidens, before climbing a set of wooden steps, continuing along a clifftop and in to Culzean Country Park. We walk alongside Swan Pond, with its various waterfowl. There are cafe and toilet facilities here. We continue through Culzean and over a main road (A719). We head up a forestry track, past shooting platforms and find the trig point on Mochrum Hill. Lovely views of the Clyde and Ailsa Craig if we are lucky with the weather. A loop of the hill and we head back down to Culzean and along the beach, back to the car.
