If you don't like to the whole walk to be on flat tarmacked roads then this is not for you! It's a good choice is you are building up your current walking distance from around 4-5 miles but not quite ready for hills.
It's an easy 7 mile walk along quiet, scenic country roads behind Kilmaurs with views of gentle rolling farmland. We'll pass the Annick Water, walk alongside the Glazert Burn, stopping for coffee/early lunch at the point where the 2 water courses meet, known as the Watermeetings.
Although the roads are quiet, care and caution must be taken.
Free parking is behind the Weston Tavern just off Fenwick Road, Kilmaurs, KA3 2RQ.
Morrisons supermarket carpark - at the top end by the 'We Buy Any Car' sales hut for car sharing.
