Overview

Please note this hike is part of a weekend away - if you are local and wish to join, please contact Beth to let her know beforehand as timings etc might shift slightly on the day.

Walk start time: 10:30 sharp (est walk finish time: 13:00)

Distance: 4.5 miles / 7.2 km

Difficulty: Moderate (short but more ascent than you find in the Chilterns! Ascent: 1250ft/380m)

Walk Leader: Beth (07956242703)

Let's finish off the weekend on a high (literally) and take in a hugely popular route that links Matlock with Matlock Bath via two hilly sections -  Heights of Abraham and Giddy Edge. This walk includes two climbs, one longer and gentler, one short and sharp, but really pays off in terms of views, beautiful woodlands, a cave and even walking underneath a cable car! We'll stop in Matlock Bath for a quick cuppa/ice cream depending on the weather before we head back home.

Please bring water and snacks, good walking shoes and sensible clothing for the weather.
