Difficulty: Moderate (albeit more ascent than you find in the Chilterns! Ascent: 1950ft/600m)

Ticking a walk off her bucket list, Beth will be leading the more gentle option for Saturday's weekend away hikes - Kinder Scout via Jacob's Ladder. Enroute we'll also have a quick detour to the picturesque Kinder Low trig point, take in some of the Penine Way and Grindsbrook Clough on our descent back to Edale.

If you fancy a more challenging walk there's an alternative option on the day taking in the whole of the Edale Skyline.
For those tackling this fantastic route, plenty of water (at least 1.5l), plenty of food, sturdy walking boots and sensible clothing for the weather are an absolute must.
