Overview

The River Monnow traverses the once highly contested March lands between England and Wales. This walk will follow, in part, the Monnow Valley Walk. We will climb to the lower slopes of Hatterrall Hill via Oldcastle and then along the side of the hill before descending to Clodock. The return route to the Carpenters Arms will be across fields and along quiet lanes.
