This is a well known local walk through green spaces starting from Moseley Bog and taking in Swanshurst Park, Billesley Common, Chinn Brook Recreation Ground, Trittiford Mill Park, the Cole Valley and Sarehole Mill. There is a mix of woodlands, grasslands and wetlands. On the recce we spotted an egret, cormorants, a green woodpecker and parakeet as well as tufted ducks and the usual Greylag and Canada geese.
It is mostly on paths but there is likely to be some mud and puddles. It can be a bit slippy on the short but fairly steep descent into the Moseley Bog area so walking poles may be helpful. Please expect some road crossings.
Start: Windermere Playing Fields car park, B13 9JP. It is a fairly small car park so car sharing is recommended. There is also some parking on Windermere Road.
