This is the first and easiest walk in the five mountain fitness walk series. These walks are aimed at improving fitness and stamina. This series of walks has plenty of steep ascents and descents along with a quick/fast pace.
Bring packed lunch. Pub stop for drinks only. Optional pub at the end for drinks and/or dinner.
Temple of the Winds is a circular walk from Haslemere into the South Downs National Park. A highlight of this walk is the view from the top of Black Down, the highest hill in Sussex. Even though this is a relatively gentle start to the series there are still some good ascents on Stanley Common, Telegraph Hill and others adding up to about 780 metres.
As with all of our strenuous walks, this is not recommended for your first walk with us. If you are a regular member and are curious about longer, faster and hiller walks then this would be a good one to try.
