Overview

The walk leaves from the Visitors Centre & takes us through the wooded country park taking in Craigend Castle & Mugdock Castle. We will eventually join up with the West Highland Way which takes us out of the park to the Reservoirs which sit above Milngavie.  They form part of the Victorian water system which comes from Loch Katrine & supplies Glasgow. We will take our lunch break here before walking around one of the reservoirs. We then have a short road stretch before heading back into Mugdock Park & heading up on to a stretch of moorland overlooking a disused quarry. We then make our way back to the courtyard where there is a cafe, gift shops & toilet facilities.
