Meeting time & place: 10.35 at Manchester Piccadilly station to catch the 10.45 to New Mills Central.
Start time & place: At New Mills Central station after the arrival of the train from Manchester due 11.14.
Estimated finish time: around 14.00 to catch the 15.04 train. Please note that the 14.02 train is cancelled.
Difficulty: easy
Distance – 5.5 miles
Train ticket - return to New Mills Central. If you have a GM Concessionary Pass train travel is free to Strines so you just need a Strines to New Mills Central return ticket.
Car Use / Parking - parking in car parks in New Mills town centre.
Walk Route - New Mills Central station, Mousley Bottom, Hague Bridge, Paper Mill, Canal, Goytsid Farm, Torrs Riverside Park, Millennium Walkway and back to station.
Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail, trainline or TfGM (tfgm.com) close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.
Walking boots or shoes and clothes (waterproof jacket in wet weather conditions) are essential.
Please bring lunch and non alcoholic drinks.
